Or, I guess I should say, colder than ice.
That's the actual trademarked phrase behind the Jagermeister Tap Machine, which has taken up residence on the back counter at The Sandbar. A few months ago Dave decided to take the plunge (helped along by a special, of course) and ordered a machine.
Apparently the machine was born out of a great desire to serve Jager at it's ideal temperature of 5 degrees. No idea who actually discovered this detail, or how, but it's a fact, kids. Jager tastes better at 5 degrees. At least that's what they tell me.
You can read more about the history of the machine here if you're so inclined. You have to be 21 to enter the site, but I assume if you're reading this you're probably of age anyway.
So Dave got his machine, and in true Sandbar form decided he wanted to do something different with it. Instead of just hooking it up with Jager all by itself, he mixed it up with Surfer on Acid, a pineapple-y shot that brings back lots of memories.
{Most of those memories involve a long-ago pub crawl to all the bars on Mass Street, sampling each one's version of Surfer on Acid, and ending, as so many nights did, at The Sandbar, wondering how we were getting home.}
But moving right along…if you like Jager, you'll love this machine. And we're quite fond of the little surfer dude Dave attached to the tap, it gives our machinet that Sandbar touch.
I prefer my Jager at room temperature with a shot of warm tequila as a chaser (no salt, no lime). Then I prefer throwing up in my hands while running to the bathroom.
