This blog was tagged again by those crazy Texans at 650miles. We "met" in November when we all signed up to post a new blog every day for the entire month. They’re funny, go read them.
Anyway, I’m supposed to give you six actions or achievements that every person should accomplish before turning 18. However, since this blog is about The Sandbar and you have to be 21 to be there, I’m going to modify the rules a little bit.
So, here are six things that every true Sandbar fan should accomplish.
- Be the mermaid. (But wear the dress over your clothes, please.)
- Sing along to "Sweet Home Alabama," or my personal favorite, "You Never Called Me By My Name."
- Leave a dollar bill on the wall.
- Order a Shark Attack and know what to do with it.
- Do the "Car Wash" on the bar.
- Take a picture on the upstairs beach.
Bonus points if you manage to do all six things in one night.
Add your ideas about the Sandbar rites-of-passage in the comments.
My very first tip is on the wall somewhere but after all of these years I have no idea where!
I can proudly say I’ve done all those things, but not in one night! That’s a good to-do list.
Pants, you know you’ve done way more than that in one night. 🙂
Great twist on the meme! I love your list.
There’s that word “meme” again! What the heck’s a meme?
i don’t really know what “meme” means or where it came from, my best guess is that it’s something all about mememememe?
Copy and paste rules…….A meme is any unit of cultural information, such as a practice or idea, that is transmitted verbally or by repeated action from one mind to another. Examples include thoughts, ideas, theories, practices, habits, songs, dances and moods and terms such as race, culture, and ethnicity. A meme is self-propagating and can move through a “culture” in a manner similar to a virus.
I’ve never done the “Car Wash” on the bar, but I did once wash my car on my way to the Sandbar. Does that count?
it’s a good thing we have pat here to do our research, since i’m obviously too lazy to do it.
frank, it only counts if you danced while washing your car.
