The Sandbar is primarily an adults-only establishment, but we like to think of ourselves as a family-friendly place.
Peach has a special event scheduled just for kids this Saturday, May 9, in Ottawa. All kids ages 3-8 are welcome to join us for the first ever "Boogie Oogie" dance class! It will be held at the Crystal Plaza Movie Theater in Ottawa, beginning at 10 a.m.
Kids will learn some of our favorite Sandbar dance songs, like the "Mashed Potato," the "Car Wash," and even some of our famous float songs!
The class is $5 per child- and all participants will receive a free movie pass to the Crystal Plaza! Contact the movie theater at 785-242-0777 for more details, or just bring your kids by on Saturday morning.
Also on Saturday, several teams from Lawrence will travel to the Sandbar in Ottawa for the season-opening beach volleyball tournament. Watch for stories and pictures later this weekend!
