Video cameras are fun.

We bought our own camera a couple years ago, so we could film fun Sandbar events. We also used it to film the current hurricane video- in the past we’ve gone to the local television studio and filmed the video like professionals, but it’s expensive, not to mention unnatural, in the studio. Much more fun to do our own thing.

Anyway, we thought it would be fun to start filming short video clips for Sandbar TV.  We’ll post them here or even on YouTube and provide links. If you have some creative ideas for entertainining Sandbar commercials, send them our way.

Here’s one to get you started:

(I wanted to embed the video clip directly into the blog…but YouTube and TypePad haven’t worked out whatever it is they need to work out to allow this.  They say it’s "coming soon." We’ll see.  In the meantime, you’ll have to click on the link above to see the video.)

We didn’t film this video.  A customer from Halloween of 2005 apparently had a camera with him, and filmed himself during one of his finer moments in life. We know it’s from Halloween that year, because Ken and Blair were dressed as the Wham! boys that year, with the easily recognizable "Choose Life" t-shirts.  A quick search of YouTube brings up several Sandbar themed videos but this was the best.

Enjoy!
