The Sandbar opened in beautiful Downtown Lawrence, Kansas, in 1989. Owner Peach Madl was inspired by the free spirited lifestyle of Key West and the laid back music of Jimmy Buffett. You'll find unique tropical drinks, the best jukebox in town, and a diverse crowd of locals and tourists at The Sandbar.
In 2009, the Sandbar Sub Shop opened in Downtown Ottawa, KS. A spin-off of the original Sandbar concept, the Sub Shop is billed as a “Sandbar for kids” and features sandwiches, smoothies, and ice cream treats.
