Dave and I are safely back from San Antonio, and he’s so dedicated to The Sandbar that he went to work tonight a mere three hours after we got home. He misses the bar when he’s gone for more than oh, about twelve hours.

The chance to watch the Final Four games in person was truly an amazing experience, and it was even better when KU won it all on Monday night. Dave always says that the best games are the ones you barely win. Of course the worst games are the ones you barely lose. Monday’s game was one of the best games we’ve ever seen and it was awesome to be there. The place went absolutely nuts when Mario Chalmers’ three-pointer sent the game to overtime.

As much fun as it was to be in San Antonio for the game, we wished we could be in two places at once. We got constant updates from the Sandbar staff while we were gone, and it sounds like Lawrence was definitely a fun place to be both Saturday and Monday.
